Pearson's Crystal Data は、物性研究、新素材開発など、幅広い分野で利用される、無機化合物の結晶構造に関する革新的なデータベースです。このデータベースは、徹底した文献調査に基づき構築され、約126,000以上の異なった相に対する213,900の構造データセット(既知の場合には原子配列、変位パラメータを含む)、15,500の実験で得られたpowder diffraction pattern, 195,000の計算pattern (面間距離、強度、ミラー指数)、50,000以上の、温度、圧力、濃度をパラメータとする格子定数の図などを含み、Pearson symbol, Prototype, Standard Wykcoff sequence、原子間距離、配位数、原子環境や立体構造図など結晶構造に関するあらゆる情報を提供しています。ICSD(無機結晶構造データベース)のほぼ全てをカバーしています。

このデータベースには新しく開発されたWindows PC専用の検索ソフトが組み込まれていて、必要な情報が極めて容易に手に入ります。

Interpretation of chemical and/or physical properties of chemical compounds is downright impossible without any knowledge of the crystal structure of the compound. It is essential that we have tools for checking the data against the crystallographic rules. The Pearson's Crystal Data CD is the perfect tool for you. Pearson's Crystal Data CD-ROM, a crystallographic database published by ASM International, contains crystal structures of a large variety of inorganic materials and compounds.

The new 2011-2012 release contains 213,900 structural data sets (including atom coordinates and displacement parameters, when determined) for about 126,000 different phases, roughly 15,500 experimental diffraction patterns and about 195,000 calculated diagrams (interplanar spacings, intensities, Miller indices). In addition, over 50,000 figure descriptions for cell parameters as a function of temperature, pressure or concentration, are given. To reach these results, scientific editors have critically analyzed and processed over 70,500 original publications.
